Why a New Hospital in Bracebridge Matters

Life in Muskoka is unlike anywhere else. Our communities are growing, our population swells every summer, and people come from near and far to enjoy our beautiful lakes, cottages and experiences that make this place so special. Through it all, South Muskoka Hospital is here, caring for the people who call Muskoka home and the many more who consider it their home away from home.

But the hospital our community relies on today wasn’t built for the Muskoka of tomorrow.

A new South Muskoka Hospital in Bracebridge will give our healthcare teams the space, technology and modern environment they need to care for a growing and changing region, and Raise Muskoka is the fundraising campaign in support of it. Our new hospital will mean greater capacity, improved privacy and patient experience, modern surgical and diagnostic spaces, and a hospital designed to attract and retain the very best healthcare professionals.
