Paul’s business career began 51 years ago with the founding of his trucking company right here in the town of Bracebridge where he was born. He served as Chairman of the Ontario Trucking Association and was recipient of numerous awards related to the trucking industry and his company Muskoka Transport.
Paul was appointed to and successfully served a four year term on the Ontario Judicial Council. Locally he was a volunteer firefighter for eighteen years. The local Chamber of Commerce handed him and his company various awards and the final one jointly with his son Darcy that coincided with the successful sale of Muskoka Transport.
He continues on as a strong supporter of the Muskoka community and currently chairs the Humanitarian Committee of Bracebridge Rotary Club assisting local families. He is a forty-four year member of Rotary.
Paul has served on South Muskoka Hospital Foundation since 2005, was the successful co chair of The Picture of Health campaign that raised 5.7 million dollars in thirty-seven months. He was the Chair of the Foundation when the Get Better Campaign was successfully completed and saw an additional 6.7 million raised in thirty-four months all for the betterment of our hospital.
Paul has a unique relationship with the local people and this combined with his knowledge of the area, is an asset to the foundation.
