ARNIE COULSON, Director

Arnie is a fifth-generation Muskokan, born at the South Muskoka Hospital and raised in Milford Bay.

Arnie brings a wealth of local business and community knowledge to the SMHF Board of Directors. As a co-owner and a founding member of the Muskoka Rock Company and Owner of Coulson Brothers Scow Service and its subsidiary companies, Muskoka Disposal Services, Coulson Brothers Arboriculture, and Coulson Bros Steel Docks, his committed approach to business and community is recognized throughout Muskoka. Arnie’s acumen as a creative problem solver in some of the region’s most challenging topography and construction engineering challenges is recognized across many industries throughout the region.

Coulson Bros Scow Service has been operating on the lakes of Muskoka since 1969. Arnie’s maintenance of a service-first approach to business and life has helped Coulson Brothers grow from a modest family-run operation to one of the region’s largest family-owned and operated businesses.

Happily married since 1996, Arnie and Lauri are the dedicated parents of Holly and Kyler. Holly is a Registered Nurse working in the Emergency Department here in our very own South Muskoka Hospital. Kyler is a recent engineering graduate of Queens University and now proudly serves as a project manager at Coulson Bros.

In his personal time, Arnie has been a private pilot for nearly 30 years and spends many summer weekends enjoying family time and R&R at the families fly in fishing camp in Quebec.

The modesty and hard work that founded Coulson Bros. in 1969 remains a primary pillar of Arnie’s outlook on business and life.
